Stunning Patio For Turlsner

This is a patio design & build we did for a client in Indianapolis this past spring. For this unique patio build used classical grey brick with a jack-on-jack pattern which gives the patio a very modern look. We took the color of the material we use in our patio design into consideration when choosing the carefully placed off-white decorative pebbles that line the perimeter of the patio.


Our client, Turlsner, was so amazed by how her patio turned out that she contracted us to do her front yards patio revamp as well!

Masterful Stairwell & Patio Redesign

This project was too much fun. The land on which this patio and stairwell were built was situated on a slope, which presented us with some challenges. In the end, we opted for a sleek yet natural look. What was once an old wooden pathway was transformed into a beautiful decorative brick pathway that opens up into a spacious patio with ample sodded garden beds.

This client didn't give us much room to work with for this patio design and build but that didn't stop us from providing the same top-quality results we always do.


This simple squared patio was built with flagstone which is a popular choice for entryways. The slightly roughened surface gives flagstone more traction when wet compared to smoother alternatives, which makes is a popular patio material choice for those more prone to slips and falls.

    During the on-site consultation, we discuss your expectations, capture the necessary measurements, talk about material preferences, and receive the design deposit, which constitutes half of the design fee.


    After the design is meticulously crafted, we present a preliminary version to you, the client. Here, we ensure you have a comprehensive understanding of the design and collect the remaining 50% of the design fee.


    Once the design gets your stamp of approval, we finalize a detailed quote. This is accompanied by a scheduled meeting to discuss any queries or concerns regarding the quote.


    Upon approval of the quote, we provide an approximate timeline for the initiation of your patio construction project. The transformation of your outdoor living space is then just a few steps away.

    Subsequently, we undertake any necessary demolitions, excavate the base for the patio and walls, and set up an efficient drainage system.


    Following this, we focus on the foundation. The subbase is thoroughly compacted and layered with woven fabric for optimal stabilization.


    Next, we install a #8 gravel base. The depth of installation varies from 6 to 12 inches in lifts, depending on the soil type and the intended use of the patio.


    With the base firmly in place, we proceed to install and precisely cut the pavers or wall blocks, fitting them seamlessly into your design.


    The sixth stage involves the addition of joint material and a final round of compaction to solidify the patio's structure.


    To conclude, we carry out a meticulous cleanup of the site and perform any necessary lawn repairs, leaving you with a beautifully crafted, ready-to-use patio.
